All That Glitters
Solid and enduring like the mountains they love, Dwarves weather the passage of centuries stoically and with little change. They hold the traditions of their clans above all.
Bold and hardy, Dwarves are known as skilled warriors, miners, and workers of stone and metal. These traits have been especially handy in a place like Zaelu-Kil-Tane, with its vast reserves of gems and ores. Though they stand well under 5' tall, Dwarves are so broad and compact that they can weigh as much as a human standing nearly 2' taller. Their courage and endurance are also easily a match for any of the larger folk.
Zaelu Dwarves are quite populous in both the Sikkru and Hattala Mountains, with a few clans even making their homes among the caverns in the badlands of the Great Waste. Dwarves from the Sikkru range tend to have light brown skin, green or hazel eyes, and warm brown to dirty blond hair. The Hattala clans have a darker, ruddier complexion, ranging from deep tan to deep brown. Their hair ranges from brilliant red to dark brown, and is somewhat coarser than that of the Sikkru. Their eyes are usually sharp gold or a shade of brown.
